It was history in the making when Graham Fletcher pocketed the biggest ever prize given away on a British television game show - a staggering £1.5 million.

Last week, Beth lost out to the rollover prize of £1 million, meaning that Graham was able to pocket the huge double rollover cheque in one monumental moment.

Filtering his way through four breaktaking rounds and knocking out seven other rival contestants, the hopeful found himself faced with The Vortex and the most important question of his life: Red, or Black?

And within a split second it turned out to be the best life-changing decision the dad of three had ever made.

The carpenter, whose parents are called Mary and Joseph, even compared the sensational moment to another of his great life milestones, jokingly saying backstage 'It's the best day of my life, I think even more than our wedding day!'

But his wife Lucy didn't seem put off by the comment, adding 'I can't believe it, I'm married to a millionaire!'
