Wales scrum-half Mike Phillips dedicates win over Samoa to victims of mining tragedy
Wales scrum-half Mike Phillips emerged from their 17-10 victory against Samoa and dedicated the result and performance to the victims of the recent mining tragedy at Gleision Colliery in south Wales.
"We wanted to do it ... for the miners who passed away back home, that was devastating, and we talked about that before, and it encourages us all," Philipps told Gabriel Clarke.
"We're a proud nation and we wanted to give our regards to those families, that was bitterly disappointing to hear that news but hopefully our win today can help in some little way."Follow ITV Rugby on Twitter
