Situated 100 miles north of Auckland, the small city of Whangarei is home to the Northland Events Centre, also known as Okara Park.

The venue, which is the traditional home of rugby union for the Northland region, has been refurbished for the 2011 Rugby World Cup, and can accommodate 20,000 fans.

The stadium has hosted several international games over the years, including several visits of the British & Irish Lions.

For the 2011 tournament, Okara Park will host two pool matches: Tonga v Canada (14 Sept.) and Tonga v Japan (21 Sept.).
