Stadium Taranaki was first developed as a rugby ground in 1931, but the stadium was not completed until 1947.

A pair of new grandstands were added in 2002, increasing the capacity to a generous 26,000.

The stadium, which is more commonly known as the Yarrow Stadium, will host three pool matches in the tournament: Ireland v USA (11 Sept.), Russia v USA (15 Sept.) and Wales v Namibia (26 Sept.)
