  • 1998: Enjoys a courtship with Roy Cropper but shocks him by revealing she is a transsexual and used to be a man called Harold
  • Travels to Amsterdam for her final operation and is delighted when Roy arrives and takes her home
  • Starts work as a machinist at Underworld
  • 1999: ‘Marries’ Roy in the cafe when their church wedding is invaded by press reporters
  • Changes her surname to ‘Cropper’ by deed poll (as the marriage isn’t legally recognised)
  • 2001: She and Roy become foster parents
  • Spends time in prison after going on the run with Roy and their foster child Wayne Hayes
  • 2003: Feels a failure as a woman upon learning that Roy spent the night with Tracy Barlow and got her pregnant
  • Encourages Roy to marry Tracy to gain rights to his child

  • 2008: Returns from Africa and briefly questions her marriage to Roy
  • 2009: Agrees to be Becky's Matron of Honour at her wedding to Steve McDonald
