VIDEO: Joe prepared a romantic evening on the boat for Gail complete with picnic and champagne. As you can imagine, Gail was thrilled.

Meanwhile, after his run-in with Tony, Roy told Hayley he’d let the matter of Tony’s confession go. Hayley was relieved but could Roy really put his concerns to the back of his mind?

Elsewhere, George had dinner with the Barlows, but it was clear Ken wasn’t too keen on Simon’s other grandfather. Blanche however thought he was wonderful and made her thoughts known. “Good looking, good company and loaded. I think I’m in love!” She declared.

Finally, Joe got down on one knee and asked Gail to be his wife as they enjoyed their champagne on the boat. Delighted, Gail said 'yes' and they shared a romantic moment as the fireworks lit up the sky.
