Skulking in the back ginnel, Tony helpfully provided a quick catch up for anyone whop had missed the last episode as he enthused down the phone: 'Just relax Jimmy. Everything's going to be fine. We got away with it. Carla thinks she killed you and she's hightailed it back to LA. It couldn't have worked out better if we'd planned it!' He told him hastily that he had to go as Maria came out of the back door.

She reminded him that Barry and Helen were coming that morning and he replied: 'I know, and I know I've also got a factory in chaos over there so I'll just say a quick hello then head straight over there.' She smiled: 'But you'd far prefer to stay and chat?' and he conceded with a grin: 'No, I'd far prefer to be over in the madhouse!'

Molly was shocked when Kevin turned up at her door and whined: 'I've been going mad, trapped over there all weekend. Let's sneak off and do something for a couple of hours, yeah?' She gasped: 'When?' He replied: 'Now.' and she told him she was due in work any minute. He hissed: 'Make up an excuse.' She told him it wasn't that easy now Ty had bought her a home gym but he insisted: 'You'll think of something. I'll pick you up at the usual place.'

He jumped as Ty appeared and told Molly to invite him. Kev hastily blustered: 'I can't stop. I just called to tell you you'll have to manage on your own for a bit. There's something on at Sophie's church that I have to go to.' Molly asked, delighting in his squirming: 'What thing?' and he mumbled: 'Drama or a concert or something.' Ty assured him it was no problem and Kevin told him he'd see him later.

Chatting cheerily with Ryan, Michelle broke off as she noticed a large damp mark on the ceiling. She frowned: 'That wasn't there before was it? It was raining last night. It must be raining in.' Ryan asked what she was going to do about it and she replied: 'Give thank that we're only renting and ring the landlord. Let him get it sorted out.'

Norris was finding it hard going with the largely mute and inscrutable Joan and asked if there was anything wrong. She replied with a monosyllabic: 'No.' He continued: 'Only you are very quiet and I wondered if I'd perhaps done something to upset you.' She replied: 'My mother had a saying, only speak when you have something to say.' Delighted at this thirteen word oratory, Norris beamed: 'How interesting. Did she have many of these aphorisms?' but was told: 'Just the one.' and silence descended on the shop once more.

The very antithesis of Joan walked in and, as she bought chewing gun, Minnie moaned about everything from having to work over the weekend, the prospect of being married and pregnant in a few years and her car playing up in the space of only thirty seconds.

Norris told Joan cheerfully: 'I wonder what her mother told her. It doesn't matter if you haven't got a thought in your head, just jeep talking eh?' but again, whatever thoughts re empty headed but gorgeous kebab shop workers Joan might have had, she was keeping it to herself.

Molly asked Dev if she could ask him a really big favour. He sighed: 'No, cos if I say no you'll be sulking for the rest of the day and if I say yes I'll be regretting it for the rest of the day.' She wheedled: 'Can I take a couple of hours off to go see my dad who I haven't seen for ages and who isn't very well? Please, please, please?' He replied good naturedly: 'Go on then but just remember what a wonderful employer you have got!'

Pam came in just as Dev was asking Molly what was wrong with her dad and cried: 'What's that? Our Diggory not well?' Molly lied that he was a bit under the weather and Pam told her to give him her best. As he paid for his sandwiches from Pam, the shop phone rang and he picked it up to find Michelle who told him she was glad she had caught him. He sighed: 'Well that wasn't too difficult. When do I ever leave this place?'

She told him about the leak and he asked if she couldn't just stick a bucket under it. She cried: 'No I can not, but what I can do is, I've just seen Bill Webster going into his yard. Do you mind if I get him to come and have a look at it?' He told her to make sure she just got a quote and she sighed: 'Okay, I will, bye.'

Ty was surprised when Pan asked what was wrong with Diggory and told him that she'd just heard Molly asking for time off to go see him. He frowned: 'No, you must have got that wrong.' He looked a little disconcerted as she told him: 'Well I if I did I must want checking into the funny farm cos I was stood as close as I am to you when I heard.'

Barry and Helen popped in to say their goodbyes to Michelle and Ryan, Barry enthusing that he couldn't wait to get home. Helen chided: 'Like you've got a lot of things to take care of back home have you?' He smiled that he was fed up of living out of a suitcase and she tutted: 'You know what men are like Michelle. Only happy when they are getting their own way.' and he cried in mock shock: 'My own way? I've been married so long I can't even remember what it is!'

They were interrupted as Bill came down from the loft and told Michelle: 'I'm sorry to interrupt. I've had a look in the loft and I think the problem is with your roof tiles so I'm going to go up and have a look how many need replacing okay?' Barry opined that it sounded an expensive job but Michelle shrugged: 'Yeah but nothing that the landlord can't afford eh?'

Ty rushed home and, finding Molly there, cried: 'Pam said your dad was sick. What#'s wrong with him.' Molly liked smoothly: 'Nothing bad, you know what he's like. He like to moan to get me to go see him.' He frowned: 'Well did you tell Dev that...' and she told him that making out it was urgent was the only way Dev would give her time off. He told her it just seemed funny that she hadn't told him but she replied: 'He phone just after you left this morning and I was going to come over and tell you. Do you mind if I get going? There's a bus at ten to.' He told her of course not and that he'd see her later.

With Tony having excused himself, Helen asked Maria about the three of them coming to Ireland for Christmas. Maria told her she would love to but had promised her parents that the next trip she made would be to Cyprus to see them. Helen opined: 'Cyprus? Oh that's too hot for a little one like this.' Maria laughed that they did have babies in Cyprus and Barry told her: 'And it's a promise you should keep. Just pencil us in second on the list, okay?'

Meanwhile, a few streets away, Molly climbed eagerly into Kevin's recovery truck and greeted him with a passionate kiss. He smiled: 'You managed to get away then?' She told him she nearly didn't and how Pam had heard her making excuses and told Tyrone: 'He nearly didn't believe me.' but Kevin smirked: 'Course he did. You've got him wrapped round your little finger.'

Maria told Tony about putting Helen off and he enthused that he would certainly be up for a trip to Cyprus. He didn't look as enthusiastic as she continued: 'I'll tell you who else we should, well not see but speak to. Carla.' He looked grim as she told him: 'Tony, you and her are still married.' He replied: 'Nominally yes.' but she cried: 'And we're nominally engaged. It's a bit of a farce if you're married to her.' He nodded and told her: 'Yes, I need to sort it but I don't want you involved. It's my problem and I'll deal with it.' but she huffed: 'Right, okay.' He asked: 'So you do nothing.' and she gave a wan smile in reply.

As they pulled up in a pub car park, Molly asked what was so urgent he had to see her right away and Kev sighed: 'I told you, I've felt trapped all weekend. It's torture being so close to you and not being able to talk to you.' She smiled: 'Well I'm here now.' and he smiled back: 'I know, and I'm glad.' With that, they climbed out to go for a walk while they waited for the pub to open for lunch.

Determined to try and get Joan to be more vocal, Norris told her: 'Right, what we'll do is, the next customer who comes in, I will engage them in conversation and you watch to see how it's done. See, it's not everybody who has the knack is it?' He received no reply and not even an acknowledgement that he had even said anything. He looked round as the shop door opened and beamed: Morning Leanne, and how are you?'

She mumbled: 'Fine ta.' and he gabbled: 'So are you back with us for good now?' She replied that it looked like it and he asked if she was going to commute to Leeds every day. She told him no and he asked if that meant she was looking for a new job. She sighed: 'Yeah, only it's not as easy as it sounds. And you know what makes it a million times worse?' He asked what and she growled: 'People asking.' He spluttered that he was only trying to be polite and she told him: 'Yeah, well ask again and I might not be!'

Leanne paid for her magazine and left the shop. Joan remained silent but looked quite amused as Norris blustered: 'That wasn't the ideal example perhaps but I'm sure you get the general idea.'

Outside, Leanne bumped into Maria and was surprised when she asked her if she had Carla's phone number. Leanne told her: 'Not on me, but yes..' Maria explained: 'Well the things is, I might as well tell you cos everyone is going to know soon, me and Tony are getting engaged.' Leanne opened her mouth is surprise but quickly gathered herself together and cried: 'Congratulations!' She looked rather thoughtful as Maria continued: 'And the things is, Tony's still married to Carla obviously and we need to do something about it.'

As they walked past a new housing development, Molly wondered how much they were going for and Kev grinned: 'Let's go in and ask.' She told him they couldn't but he laughed: 'Why? They don't know who we are.' She told him they would ask for details but he smiled playfully: 'Mr and Mrs Webster or Mr and Mrs Dobbs?' She replied dreamily: 'Mr and Mrs Webster.' and he led her inside.

Inside the sales office, Kevin happily lied, giving an address on a caravan park in Fleetwood and telling the salesgirl that their kids were nearing school age and that they were thinking it was time they got on the property ladder. The sales girl smiled: 'Right, well I'll give you the guided tour then I'll leave you to have a look round on your own. We'll start with the kitchen. I'm sure Mrs Webster would like to see that first.'

At the garage, Minnie told Ty how her car was cutting out when she came to stop at traffic lights etc. He told her was really busy and couldn't look at it today but she turned on the charm and he sighed: 'I'll see what I can do.' She beamed: 'You're lovely you are. I knew you would help me.' He told her couldn't promise but she smiled: 'Ah but you will won't you? And you'll knock a bit of the bill as well.'

Having shown them round the show home, the salesgirl told Kevin and Molly that she would leave them to look round on their own and that she'd be downstairs if they had any questions. As soon as she was out of earshot, Kevin quickly headed up the stairs to the master bedroom on the top floor and hissed at Molly: 'Come up here. I wanna show something.' Rolling her eyes, Molly followed him.

Jumping onto the bed he whispered that he bet loads of couples came to look round show homes just to make use of the beds. She told him firmly: 'Yeah, well we won't be joining them.' He asked why not and she hissed: 'Cos there's a woman downstairs!' He grinned: 'She won't mind. She'll be used to it.' and pulled her onto the bed but she pulled her arm free and told him furiously to stop it before marching back down the stairs, him running after her protesting that he was only joking.

He told her it was only because he'd missed her so much and she told him it was just the same for her but they couldn't do anything about it. He told her: 'We could buy this place.' She asked: 'Oh really? Have you got your cheque book?' and he sighed: 'If we wasn't married to other people. If I wasn't and I said let's buy this place and live together would you do it?' She told him he knew she would and he mused: 'Some people would just say let's do it.' She told him that would be people who didn't care about who they hurt and that they should go. He protested that they were only talking but she told him bluntly: 'Yeah, about things we shouldn't be talking about.'

Tony found Leanne knocking on the front door and she asked: 'Is Maria not in?' He told her assumed not and asked if he could help. He was taken aback as she told him: 'No, it's alright. She just wanted Carla's number. I'll text it to her. I don't know why I didn't think of it before.' He asked cautiously: 'Carla's number? Did she say why?' Leanne shrugged: 'Because she wanted to talk to her I'd assume. I hear congratulations are in order.' Tony issued a mumbled thanks and looked very thoughtful as she strode off.

Dev was not impressed with Bill's quote and cried: 'What's this for Bill? Replacing the roof on the Olympic Stadium?' Bill told him: 'It's what it says, replacing the broken slates and making good the affected felt and timber underneath.' Dev demanded to know who had broken the slates and Bill told him: 'Buildings settle over the years Dev. Stresses, strains.' Dev huffed: 'Well I know about them thank you. Right, well thank you for that. Leave it with me and I'll be in touch.'

As they pulled back up where he had picked her up earlier, Molly told Kevin: 'Promise me, no more withdrawal symptoms. I nearly got caught out with Ty this morning and I don't want you giving me heart attacks turning up on my doorstep.' He promised her he wouldn't and told her would call her later. He looked into her eyes and told her he loved and she, gazing into his, replied: 'And you.' She leant towards him and they kissed.

Unfortunately for the illicit lovers, who should walk around the corner at that very moment but Pam. She stopped in her tracks at the sight that confronted her.

Pam quickly ducked back round the corner, her mind reeling at what she had just seen. Hearing the van door slam and it start to pull away, she quickly headed back the way she came in a state of shock while Molly and Kevin. oblivious to the fact they had been seen, continued on the separate journeys home.
