Samia Smith, who plays Maria Connor, has given birth to a baby girl!

Samia's first child was born at 10am on Monday 19 October weighing 7lb 2oz. Samia and her husband Matthew have named their little girl, Freya.

Samia first discovered she was pregnant at the same time as her character Maria was pregnant with Liam Connor's baby.
