Sally's marital problems cause havoc for the Thomases next week when her husband finds out she's been staying in Emmerdale.
Sally seeks refuge at Mulberry Cottage, claiming she can't cope with Vincent's controlling behaviour any longer.
However, sick of Sally's intrusion on her family, Laurel arranges a secret meeting with Vincent to find out what's what.
He soon realises where his wife has been hiding and his anger boils over.
Vincent lunges at Sally but ends up hitting Ashley in the face instead.
Laurel is devastated that she doubted Sally and welcomes her to stay for as long as she needs.
But will she come to regret letting Ashley's old flame into her home?
