The PartyPoker.com Grand Slam of Darts will be played next month - and once again the ITV Wildcard Qualifier will give ANY darts player the chance to play alongside the likes of Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld.
The ITV-televised Grand Slam of Darts sees stars of the sport who have won major finals over the last two years battling it out at the Wolverhampton Civic from November 14-22.
However, one place in the field is awarded to an ITV Wildcard Qualifier from a knockout event to be staged on Friday November 6.
Chris Mason and Kevin McDine - then an unknown - won a place in the inaugural Grand Slam of Darts in 2007, with McDine going on to reach the semi-finals - which earned him a two-year invitation to the subsequent events.
Fleetwood's Wes Newton was the ITV Wildcard Qualifier's winner 12 months ago, while a shortfall in players qualifying from major tournaments meant that runner-up Colin McGarry and third-placed Alan Tabern also competed in the Grand Slam of Darts.
This year's tournament will be held at the Magnum Centre in Irvine, Scotland and is expected to attract in excess of 200 players once again.
The ITV Wildcard Qualifier is open to any darts player to enter, with entry closing at 12pm on Wednesday November 4.
Should the field of players remain at less than 32 players following the forthcoming European Championship, the ITV Wildcard runner-up would be invited to compete in the Grand Slam of Darts.
