Arshavin hints at summer move
Arsenal forward Andrey Arshavin has refused to rule out a move away from the club during the summer transfer window, though he admits that speculation linking him to QPR is wide of the mark.
"That's all 'virtual news'," Arshavin told the Sport Express newspaper when asked about a move to Loftus Road. "At the moment I am an Arsenal player, and I've just arrived for pre-season with them."
Aside from the rumoured move to QPR, Arshavin has also been linked with former club Zenit St Petersburg, Turkish side Galatasaray and another West London club, Fulham, though none of those links has progressed beyond speculation.
But asked whether a move might take place before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month, the Russian replied: "In this life you should never say never."
Meanwhile the 31-year-old gave his thoughts on the London 2012 Olympic games.
"In London there isn't any of the usual traffic," he said. "You travel into the city centre and there's not a single car. It's lovely!"
