Key man: Eighteen goals last season for Marvin Emnes (pictured) has turned the Dutchman from flop to flier. The 24-year-old struggled initially after joining the Teesside club in 2008, but his improvement under Tony Mowbray has made him a hot property, with Swansea rumoured to have bid for him this summer.

Chances: Middlesbrough missed out on a place in last season's play-offs by five points having long been contenders. Mowbray's side will be hoping for better fortunes at home having won just eight of their 23 at the Riverside Stadium last term. Another promotion-chasing season beckons, though.
