League One SHREWSBURY have signed WOLVES forward Sam Winnall on a month's loan.

The 21-year-old becomes Graham Turner's second signing of the day, following the acquisition of defender Lee Collins on loan from Barnsley.

Striker Winnall has made one appearance for the first team at Molineux after coming through the youth ranks but has enjoyed loan spells at Burton, Hereford and Inverness.

Full-back Collins was brought in as cover for Joe Jacobson, who will be missing for between four to six weeks after suffering an ankle injury in training.

On Collins, manager Graham Turner told "With the injury to Joe, I felt we needed another experienced defender to join the squad.

"Lee is still young at 24 years of age but has a lot of league experience. I've worked with him before when he played 16 games for Hereford in the season we got the club promoted."
