Classic clip: Clough labels Polish goalkeeper a clown

England's qualifying campaign for the 1974 World Cup was a disaster and results in their group meant the Three Lions had to beat Poland at Wembley.

Before the match, outspoken ITV Sport pundit Brian Clough labelled Polish goalkeeper Jan Tomaszewski 'a clown' in his analysis. Tomaszewski went on to have a superb game and deny England the victory they desperately needed with a string of fine saves in a 1-1 draw.

Despite Tomaszewski's man of the match performance Clough stuck to his guns and continued to label him 'a clown', to the annoyance of fellow pundit Derek Dougan, but to the amusement of viewers.

Poland v England is live on ITV1 and from 19:30 on Tuesday 16th October.
