Wenger cagey over January transfer plans

Arsene Wenger played his cards close to his chest on whether he would be making any acquisitions in January following Arsenal's defeat to Olympiacos in Athens.

"That's a key question that I can't answer directly after a game," Wenger told ITV's Gabriel Clarke, who asked the Frenchman about his plans for the January transfer window.

"What is important is that we do well until January now, we have big games coming and the most important thing is to focus on the players we do have."

Wenger also suggested that he would have preferred to have beaten Olympiacos and finished top of Group B.

"We have to wait for the draw, but ideally we should finish first."
