Peterborough United have announced the permanent signing of Dagenham and Redbridge striker Dwight Gayle after a successful loan spell.
The 22-year-old's move will officially go through on 2 January, costing the London Road outfit £500,000, potentially rising to £750,000 with add-ons.
Gayle arrived on loan earlier in the season, and has netted five times in just six appearances for the Championship club.
Posh boss Darren Ferguson told the club website: "Dwight has done very well. I am pleased that everything has been sorted out and credit to the chairman for providing the finance for the deal."
Gayle stated: "I am delighted that everything is sorted. I have really enjoyed my time at the club during my loan spell and I am very pleased to be staying."
