Stoke are waiting to see whether Matthew Etherington will be fit enough to return to the side for Saturday's Premier League clash with West Brom at the Britannia Stadium.

The winger has missed the last two games with a back problem and is again touch and go while striker Cameron Jerome is likely to be on the bench after being forced off with a knock to his knee in last weekend's defeat by Newcastle.

Defender Robert Huth serves the final game of a three-match ban so full-back Marc Wilson will again deputise alongside captain Ryan Shawcross in the centre.

Provisional Stoke squad: Begovic, Sorensen, Cameron, Wilkinson, Shawcross, Whelan, Nzonzi, Walters, Kightly, Etherington, Jones, Whitehead, Crouch, Jerome, Adam, Palacios, Shotton, Shea, Wilson, Owen.
