Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill will make a late check on full-back Danny Rose ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Norwich.
Rose returned to first-team action as a substitute in last weekend's 3-1 defeat at QPR and reported a little tightness in the hamstring which had sidelined him for the previous two games, although he is expected to be available.
Striker Connor Wickham has returned from his loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday and is in the squad, winger James McClean could figure after illness ruled him out of the game at Loftus Road - but skipper Lee Cattermole is still sidelined by a knee problem.
Provisional Sunderland squad: Mignolet, Westwood, Bardsley, Rose, O'Shea, Kilgallon, Bramble, Cuellar, Mangane, N'Diaye, Gardner, Colback, McClean, Larsson, Johnson, Vaughan, Sessegnon, Fletcher, Graham, Wickham.
Meanwhile, Republic of Ireland forward Anthony Pilkington faces two to three weeks out with a hamstring injury and will miss Norwich's clash with Sunderland.
Pilkington came off in the first half of last weekend's 0-0 draw with Southampton and was forced out of Republic duty.
Midfielder Alex Tettey (knee) is expected to return following the international break at Wigan on March 30 and England goalkeeper John Ruddy will return to full training at the end of this month, while winger Andrew Surman (knee) is expected to miss the rest of the season.
Provisional Norwich squad: Bunn, Martin, Turner, Bassong, Garrido, Snodgrass, Johnson, Hoolahan, Howson, Kamara, Holt, Camp, R Bennett, Fox, Whittaker, E Bennett, Becchio.
