Tottenham forward Gareth Bale will miss Sunday's Barclays Premier League game against Everton after he suffered an ankle injury in last night's draw against Basle.

Winger Aaron Lennon and defender William Gallas will today have scans on the respective knee and calf injuries they suffered against the Swiss champions.

Midfielder Sandro (knee), striker Jermain Defoe (pelvis), and defender Younes Kaboul (knee) are unavailable.

Everton are sweating on the fitness of Kevin Mirallas for Sunday's trip to Tottenham.

Mirallas suffered a groin injury against Stoke last week but having netted a memorable winner, manager David Moyes is eager to have the Belgium international available.

Marouane Fellaini and Steven Pienaar are both missing as they complete two-match suspensions, with the Toffeemen looking to close within three points of their fellow Champions League chasers.

Provisional Squad: Lloris, Friedel, Walker, Naughton, Dawson, Caulker, Gallas, Vertonghen, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Holtby, Livermore, Dembele, Carroll, Parker, Huddlestone, Sigurdsson, Dempsey, Adebayor.
