FA's Alex Horne: 'Deplorable' violence must be dealt with using the full force of the law

FA general secretary Alex Horne has told ITV the "deplorable" violence which marred Millwall and Wigan's FA Cup semi-final on Saturday will be dealt with in the strongest manner, which could include criminal prosecutions and stadium bans.

"These are individuals operating in a violent, inappropriate way, and we would expect the full force of the law to be brought against them," Horne told Gabriel Clarke.

Horne also denied that the authorities had been complacent about the possibility of violence in the Millwall end at Wembley.
