Yaya Toure: Second in the league and an FA Cup win would be success for City

Manchester City's FA Cup semi-final Man of the Match Yaya Toure believes winning the FA Cup would cap a fine season for his side, even if they ultimately relinquish the Premier League title to neighbours Manchester United.

Asked by ITV's Gabriel Clarke if second place in the Premier League and an FA Cup winner's medal constituted a successful season, Toure said: "I hope, it will be very important for the club and the fans."

Meanwhile Toure saluted opponents Chelsea, who pushed City all the way in a match played at breakneck pace at Wembley.

"We played against a fantastic opposition today," Toure said. "The second half was tough, they have some fantastic skilled players, like Hazard and Mata."
