ITV caught up with Manchester City's Toure brothers ahead of Saturday's FA Cup Final, with Yaya reflecting on how close he came to joining Arsenal as a teenager.
"He had a knee problem and I think that's why Mr [Arsene] Wenger didn't keep him," older brother Kolo told ITV's Ned Boulting.
"Not only that, but because of my situation - because I was African and getting a work permit was harder," Yaya added.
"I was supposed to play 75% of my national team's games and that was quite difficult because I was 18, 19."
And Yaya also revealed he and Wenger had a difference of opinion over his strongest position.
