Benfica and Chelsea do battle at the Amsterdam ArenA for the Europa League trophy on May 15.

Here we look at the key contests.

OSCAR CARDOZO v DAVID LUIZ

The all-South American battle is poised to be a crucial one. Paraguay striker Cardozo has netted six goals in eight appearances in the competition, while former Benfica man Luiz, who can also play in midfield, has been one of Chelsea's most influential players, with his incisive passing and powerful shooting.

NEMANJA MATIC v FRANK LAMPARD

Matic moved to Benfica as part of the deal which took Luiz to London and has flourished in Portugal. He now has a buy-out clause of 45million euros and may be regarded as one that got away for the Blues, with Lampard in the twilight of his career. The England man can still dictate the tempo and strike crucial goals.

LUISAO v FERNANDO TORRES

The Brazil defender has been the team talisman at Benfica for a decade. He will be responsible for shackling Torres, who has found form in the Europa League, netting five goals in five appearances. The Spaniard has carried Chelsea's strike burden in the competition and would be deserving of a goal in the final.
