Name: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Club: St Etienne
As every English football scout gets acquainted with French airports and the Eurostar, someone that has popped up on their radar is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of St Etienne.
It would be quicker to list the number Premier League clubs who haven't been linked with the Gabonese striker, such is the man's popularity in Ligue 1.
The start of his career was unspectacular as he bounced around on loan at the likes of Ligue 2 Dijon, and failed to make much impact, but he has blossomed since joining St Etienne, and especially playing alongside Brandao and Yohan Mollo.
In the 2012/13 season the former Monaco forward hit 19 goals, many in front of interested observers from across the Channel, with Arsenal and Newcastle the most keen to acquire him.

There was not just personal success for Aubameyang, but also wider achievement for the club as he played a key role in their League Cup victory, earning them a place in next season's Europa League.
Aubameyang's pace and movement around the box has caused havoc in Ligue 1 this term, with many defenders not knowing whether they're coming or going in his company. Add to that his increasingly deadly prowess in front of goal, it means that the forward is always improving.
These attributes are what have caught the eye of English clubs, who feel he could easily adapt to the rigours of the Premier League next season, but he could be persuaded to stay with St Etienne for one more campaign thanks to the lure of European football.
Despite being born in France and playing for the country's Under-21 side, Aubameyang opted to represent Gabon, the country of his father, who was also an international footballer.
Aubameyang: "Spurs tried to get me in June but it was strange. They made my Dad come.. agents everywhere. If they come back in, I'll say no"
– Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang speaking to Le 10 Sport.
It would not be terrible if I was to carry on with Saint-Etienne and then be transferred later.Where would I go? Maybe Germany, England or Italy. PSG is a possibility but I have yet to receive a concrete offer.
