Exclusive video: Wayne Rooney delighted with goal at Maracana and is full of praise for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

England striker Wayne Rooney told ITV's Gabriel Clarke that he was delighted to score at the new Maracana Stadium and was full of praise for team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

"He's a good player," Rooney said of Oxlade-Chamberlain, "He's not afraid to run at defenders and they don't like that."

The Manchester United forward also admitted that although the draw was a good result, the Three Lions are still under development with Roy Hodgson.

"We're still progressing, we're not getting over-hyped and over-confident with the result today as the real games start in September."
