All the Premier League managers are now back at their desks, flicking through their little black book of contacts ready to do some business that should have us all licking our lips for next season.

One man who looks to be particularly busy is Jose Mourinho - back at Chelsea and ready to make an immediate impact.

The now dubbed 'Happy One' wants to offload Fernando Torres and is looking to swap the Spanish striker for AC Milan's hot prospect Stephan El Shaarawy (TalkSPORT) after Napoli rejected a bid from Chelsea of 50m euros, plus Torres (Independent)

Mourinho also wants want away Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney and is prepared to make a £20m bid to secure the England forward (Telegraph)

Manchester United could use some of that money to buy Barcelona starlet Thiago Alcantara and are prepared to triple the young Spaniard's wages (Metro)

West Brom are ready to offer free agent Nicolas Anelka a deal after the 34-year-old left Juventus (Daily Mail)

And finally, Tottenham are ready to bid up to £17m for Valencia and Spain striker Roberto Soldado (Daily Star)
