New signings Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore are expected to make their first start for Hull City when Norwich visit the KC Stadium.

The midfield pair joined from Tottenham last week and made impressive impacts as substitutes in the defeat against Chelsea.

Republic of Ireland international Stephen Quinn (hamstring) is expected to miss out.

Provisional squad: McGregor, Harper, Brady, Figueroa, Chester, Davies, McShane, Rosenior, Elmohamady, Bruce, Boyd, Huddlestone, Livermore, Koren, Meyler, Graham, Sagbo, Aluko, Fryatt.

Norwich will be without midfielder Elliott Bennett for "several months", according to manager Chris Hughton, after he underwent surgery in midweek on a cruciate ligament injury.

Robert Snodgrass is likely to replace him against Hull after recovering from a groin problem. Striker Gary Hooper is still out (shin) while defender Sebastien Bassong and midfielder Anthony Pilkington are back in the squad after missing last week.

New Swedish signing Johan Elmander could feature if international clearance comes through in time, while Dutch central midfielder Leroy Fer also returns after missing the season's first league match against Everton through suspension.

Provisional squad: Ruddy, Whittaker, Martin, Turner, Garrido, Howson, Johnson, Redmond, Hoolahan, Van Wolfswinkel, Snodgrass, Elmander, Fer, Bassong, Pilkington, Bunn, Becchio, Butterfield, Olsson, Ryan Bennett, Fox, Ayala, Tettey.
