Manchester City defender Matija Nastasic is set to return for the Barclays Premier League clash against Hull at the Etihad Stadium.
Nastasic, now recovered from an ankle injury, was an unused substitute last week and is expected to replace makeshift centre-back Javi Garcia.
Captain Vincent Kompany (groin) and fellow defender Micah Richards (hamstring) remain on the sidelines.
Striker Yannick Sagbo is the only confirmed absentee for Hull's trip to Manchester City of Saturday.
Sagbo will serve the second of a three-match ban for his red card against Norwich, but the likely return of Stephen Quinn (hamstring) to the matchday squad is good news for manager Steve Bruce.
Bruce made 11 changes for the Capital One Cup victory against Leyton Orient in midweek and has not ruled out doing the same again as he recalls his first-choice players to the line-up.
Man City: Hart, Pantilimon, Zabaleta, Lescott, Nastasic, Boyata, Garcia, Kolarov, Clichy, Nasri, Milner, Silva, Navas, Fernandinho, Toure, Barry, Rodwell, Aguero, Dzeko, Jovetic, Negredo.
Hull: McGregor, Harper, Brady, Figueroa, Chester, Davies, McShane, Rosenior, Elmohamady, Bruce, Boyd, Quinn, Huddlestone, Livermore, Koren, Meyler, Graham, Aluko.
