Former Arsenal defender Lee Dixon told ITV.com he believes Mesut Ozil is the man to give the Gunners team a lift this season.
Dixon thinks it was about time Arsene Wenger delivered on bringing in a proven player, after splashing out almost £40million on the German playmaker.
"It's been a long time coming, but now we've got a top class, world star, and I'm sure he'll make an impact. He's a very very skilful player, I think he'll inspire others around him with his performances."
Despite the positive elements Ozil will obviously provide, the ex-England right-back is concerned the signing could be papering over the cracks of a squad which lacks depth.
"Whether it's enough from a squad point of view, remains to be seen; I'm not sure he can play centre-back in the middle of January in the snow, but we'll wait and see about that one."
