Spurs v Chelsea: Key battles

Andre Villas-Boas and Jose Mourinho - the apprentice and his former master - are in competition in Saturday's London derby between Tottenham and Chelsea.

Here, we look at the key battles of the contest, away from the dugout.

KYLE WALKER v EDEN HAZARD

In a physical battle, it would be no contest as the powerful Walker towers over the slight Belgian. However, Hazard's trickery and his willingness to look in-field for work will keep Walker on his toes throughout.

ANDROS TOWNSEND v ASHLEY COLE

Like Chelsea, Cole has not been totally convincing in the early weeks of the season. The left-back will be placed under pressure by Townsend, who will be bidding to continue the form which earned an England call-up alongside Cole.

ROBERTO SOLDADO v JOHN TERRY

With four goals in six appearances to date - but none in the last three games - Soldado faces a test of character against the physical Terry. The former England captain's lack of pace is something of an Achilles heel and an area Tottenham - and Soldado - may look to exploit.
