Midfielder Mathieu Flamini is out of Arsenal's League Cup fourth-round tie with Chelsea on Tuesday due to a groin injury.

Mikel Arteta is suspended following his sending-off in Saturday's win at Crystal Palace, but Jack Wilshere (ankle) is fit.

Serge Gnabry will be involved, if he can shake off an ankle injury ,along with Isaac Hayden and Ryo Miyachi, but Theo Walcott (abdominal), Yaya Sanogo (back), Lukas Podolski (hamstring), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Abou Diaby (both knee) are all still out.

Jose Mourinho, meanwhile, will give his fringe players an opportunity.

The players which featured in Sunday's Premier League defeat of Man City will be rested and Mourinho will select a similar side to the one which won the previous round of the League Cup at Swindon.

World Cup winner Juan Mata, Brazil defender David Luiz, Senegal striker Demba Ba, Ghana midfielder Michael Essien and Belgium forward Kevin de Bruyne are among those set for an opportunity, along with Australia goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer.
