Barclays Premier League leaders Arsenal host third-placed Liverpool in the game of the weekend.
Here, we look at some of the significant figures involved.
PER MERTESACKER v LUIS SUAREZ
The Germany international's form is keeping club captain Thomas Vermaelen out of the side and his experience has brought additional security to the Gunners defence. However, he is likely to be severely tested by the movement, tricks and skills of Suarez, whose hat-trick last week made it six goals in five league matches.
JACK WILSHERE v STEVEN GERRARD
As England team-mates they complement each other well, but Wilshere will have to keep a more watchful an eye on the Reds captain in opposition. Gerrard is more selective in his runs forward but that allows him more time on the ball, and that could hurt Arsenal if he is allowed to dominate.
OLIVIER GIROUD v MARTIN SKRTEL
Giroud has had a good start to the season, scoring eight and providing four assists, and provides Arsenal with an additional aerial threat which could expose Liverpool's perceived set-piece weakness. But he is coming up against arguably Liverpool's most in-form defender in Skrtel, who has excelled since being recalled and whose man-marking skills will be put to the test.
