FA Cup First Round highlights: AFC Wimbledon 1-3 Coventry City

Coventry progressed through to the second round of the FA Cup after beating AFC Wimbledon 3-1 at the Cherry Red Records Stadium.

In a clash which pitted 1987 winners Coventry against a Dons side who were formed following the demise of 1988 champions Wimbledon FC, it was the hosts who took a 54th-minute lead through Michael Smith's header.

However, Coventry equalised soon after through Callum Wilson following a mistake from stand-in goalkeeper Seb Brown, who had been brought in to replace Ross Worner after a traffic accident had held up some of the Dons squad and caused the kick-off to be delayed until 8pm.

The visitors then took the lead in the 60th minute when Carl Baker finished a far-post cross and the League One side secured the win when Baker's free-kick deflected in off Callum Kennedy in the wall in the 70th minute.
