Reports in Portugal today claim the agent of Jackson Martinez is in London where he will discuss a transfer to Stamford Bridge.
Portuguese newspaper A Bola claim the Porto striker's representative, Henrique Pompeo, is holding talks with Chelsea's Russian-Canadian board member Marina Granovskaia.
The Colombian striker's contract at Porto expires in 2016 and he will cost Roman Abramovich somewhere in the region of £33m.
Meanwhile, former Benfica striker Roland Linz has urged Chelsea to pursue Monaco's Radamel Falcao instead.
Linz told O Jogo that Martinez "cannot compare to Falcao". The Austrian striker said: "Jackson is good but he can't compare to that."
"Who can? Falcao is in the top five in the world, if not the best," he said.
