Marouane Fellaini is expected to start against former club Everton for the first time as a Manchester United player.

Phil Jones is suspended for Wednesday's Old Trafford encounter and with Michael Carrick (Achilles) ruled out, Fellaini is the obvious replacement.

Robin van Persie has "a chance" of recovering from a combination of groin and toe problems.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has no new injury worries ahead of the trip to Old Trafford.

Bryan Oviedo is set to continue deputising for innjured left-back Leighton Baines (broken toe) after making only his second league start in 18 months against Stoke at the weekend.

Martinez's big decision is whether to retain on-loan Barcelona youngster Gerard Deulofeu after his impressive display against the Potters or bring back the safer option of Kevin Mirallas.
