Managerless Spurs are without Michael Dawson and midfielders Paulinho and Sandro for Wednesday night's League Cup clash with West Ham.

Paulinho misses the first of three matches for his dismissal against Liverpool in Andre Villas-Boas' final match in charge while Dawson is banned for one match and Sandro is expected to be out for around a week with a calf injury.

Danny Rose (toe), Christian Eriksen (ankle), Vlad Chiriches (knee) and Younes Kaboul (thigh) could all return, but defender Jan Vertonghen (ankle) is out.

West Ham defender James Tomkins (groin) is a slight doubt for West Ham.

Manager Sam Allardyce will utilise the squad players he has available, and with captain Kevin Nolan still suspended the likes of youngsters Leo Chambers, Dylan Tombides and Matthias Fanimo could all be involved again.

Winston Reid (ankle), Stewart Downing (calf), Andy Carroll (heel), Ricardo Vaz Te (shoulder) and Mladen Petric (thigh) remain sidelined.

Spurs squad: Lloris, Friedel, Gomes, Archer, Walker, Fredericks, Rose, Naughton, Fryers, Capoue, Dembele, Lamela, Lennon, Eriksen, Dombaxe, Townsend, Chadli, Sigurdsson, Holtby, Kane, Adebayor, Defoe, Soldado, Coulthirst.
