Several of the top Premier League clubs are planning to splash the cash in the January sales. Here are Boxing Day's hottest rumours:

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will continue to wind up Arsenal by bidding £48m for Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain (the Argentina international was a Gunners target in the summer). (Express)

Arsenal will need to shell out around £22m to prise French midfielder Yohan Cabaye from Newcastle in the next transfer window. PSG also like the look of Cabaye. (Mail)

Man Utd gaffer David Moyes is primed to offer Atletico Madrid a cool £30m in January for their highly rated attacking midfielder Koke. (Mirror)
