Arsenal and Man City are keen on signing Celtic's Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk according to reports in the Scotsman.
Van Dijk joined Neil Lennon's Bhoys from Groningen last summer for £1.6m and has impressed at the heart of Celtic's back four ever since.
The 22 year-old has represented the Netherlands at Under-21 level and is being tipped for a senior international bow by his club manager, Neil Lennon.
“It’s inevitable," Lennon said.
"If he keeps going and progressing the way he is, that he’ll become a Dutch international.
"He makes it look easy. People seem to think he has a laid-back attitude, but his work ethic is very high and he’s a kid who wants to get better.
"I’d like to think Virgil would get a chance with his country.”
It's thought Van Dijk will cost Arsenal or Man City in the region of £10m.
