Reports in Portugal claim Arsenal are preparing to trigger the £33m release clause in the contract of Porto's Jackson Martinez.
Last week, Martinez admitted he used to support Arsenal and a kid and would find it difficult to turn down a move to the Emirates.
"I cheered for Arsenal when I was a kid, I love their style of play," he said.
"If I get a chance to play for a high level club like Arsenal I wouldn’t hesitate to accept it."
Portugal's top selling sports daily, A Bola, has followed that initial story up with a report today claiming Arsenal have made Martinez their new top target.
They believe Wenger has turned his attentions to the Colombian forward after growing frustrated with Real Madrid's reluctance to let Alvaro Morata join Arsenal on loan.
Porto would prefer selling Martinez, whose contract renewal talks have stalled, in the summer although they are also mindful of raising as much money for a player who is already 27 years-old.
