Leeds' pre-season preparations descended into farce on Sunday after their scheduled friendly opponents failed to turn up.
The Whites had been due to play Romanian side Viitorul Constanta in Santa Cristina, Italy.
But after the no-show boss Dave Hockaday was forced to pit two Leeds XIs against each other.
The club said on Twitter: "Our game with Viitorul Constanta has been forced to be called off due to the Romanian side not turning up at the ground.
"United will now field two Leeds XIs that will play against each other in the absence of an opposition for the travelling supporters."
Hockaday was at least able to celebrate a second Leeds victory of the tour - they won their opening match 16-0 against minnows FC Gherdeina on Thursday.
This time goals from Steve Morison, Rudy Austin and Noel Hunt secured a 3-1 win for the first Leeds XI. Matt Smith pulled one back for the second Leeds XI, who included new signing Tommaso Bianchi.
