Man United legend Scholes joins ITV as pundit

Paul Scholes will appear as a pundit on ITV’s live Champions League coverage this coming season.

Paul will join the ITV Sport team on Champions League nights as a regular pundit from the group stages onwards.

Niall Sloane, ITV Director of Sport, said: “Having won the competition twice with Manchester United and played a key role in their European campaigns from the 1990s until his retirement in 2013, Paul brings his phenomenal expertise and insight to our team and we’re all looking forward to working with him this season.”

ITV holds the rights to show live Champions League and Europa League matches and highlights until 2015, after which it will show Champions League highlights. ITV will also show exclusive live coverage of all England European Championship and World Cup qualifying matches and friendlies until 2018.
