Dean Windass terrible Hull kit

Feb 17: And you thought this kit was bad

I’ve worn some dodgy kits in my time, but nothing is going to match the one Oldham will be wearing against Leeds – all pink!

As you’ve probably read the club are going all pink to raise money for a cancer awareness charity which is obviously a good cause, but it’s not going to stop me getting some stick from my mates.

When I was first told about it I thought it would have some blue or black in it to break things up, but now I’ve seen it there’s nothing. It’s completely pink. To go that bit further, I’ve requested some pink boots from my sponsors Puma and will auction them off after the game.

Back on the pitch and I finally opened my Oldham account on Saturday and in the process scored my 200th league goal. It’s not been bothering me too much because I think I’ve been playing well but when you get your team mates asking you when you’re going to score it’s always good to shut them up.

I’d been wearing a t-shirt underneath my top for the past five matches ready to get it out when I finally scored – and when I finally did I got booked.

But that didn’t stop me enjoying the game and I think I’m playing well at the moment – probably still good enough to play at a higher level!

Our win over Northampton kept up our promotion push but it’s now two away games in a row and that’s where we’ve fallen down in recent weeks. Hopefully we can get some points on the road to really help our cause.

On Monday night I watched Arsenal’s FA Cup game against Cardiff and as a fellow striker it was good to see Eduardo back in action and scoring goals.

He’s had a terrible injury and it’s amazing to see what the medical people can do these days. If this had happened a few years ago there’s no way he would have played again.

Monday night for him was probably like making another debut and like all strikers he would have wanted to have scored early on his comeback, so to get two would have been a real boost.

In fact his leg is probably stronger than it was and once he got over the mental challenge of going in for his first 50-50 ball he would have felt like a new player.
