Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart says the England squad are desperate to get the fans back on their side after a disappointing World Cup.
Hart was part of Fabio Capello's 23-man squad for South Africa but did not get a game. However, in the space of a whirlwind month he has displaced Shay Given as Manchester City's number one and was picked to start for his country against Hungary last month.
Asked if the players needed to win back the confidence of the fans, Hart said: "That's what we all want to do. That's obviously the aim but we have got so much respect for our opposition. No international is easy.
"Even the countries that are referred to as being easier to play against put 11 behind the ball, a bit like the Hungary game.
"It was difficult to get a result but we found a way, and you've got to find a way to win. We have got lots of winners in our team and hopefully they will drag us through."
