I am very happy about this performance. We have won 1-0 that is the most important thing today. Of course we have been a little bit under pressure, that is normal after we heard about the defeat of the Netherlands. We knew that a defeat would have caused big problems for us.

It was very important to start with a win. In the first half we were the better team and had the better chances, even though Pepe shot against the bar. In the second half it became more and more difficult for us. At the end we have been a little bit lucky, but you need luck to win such matches.

Germany had more territorial domination in the first half. In the second we fixed a few things, we had the game under control, suffered an unfortunate goal and reacted very well. The result was not fair.

It was a good match from our side, we put in a great effort, all the players had a great attitude, and everybody helped each other.
