Wolves complain over racist abuse

Wolves have made a complaint to Walsall and the Football Association after Carl Ikeme and George Elokobi reported racial abuse from home fans at Saturday's League One match at the Banks's Stadium.

Goalkeeper Ikeme and defender Elokobi reported the abuse, which allegedly occurred in two separate incidents, to Wolves' management staff.

Shrewsbury have appointed Michael Jackson as manager on a deal until the end of the season.

Jackson has been caretaker boss since Graham Turner resigned his position at the end of January and the Sky Bet League One club feel that continuity will be important in their battle against relegation.

Oldham bag ex-Man City youngster

Oldham Athletic have signed former Manchester City youngster Terry Dunfield on a short-term contract.

The Canadian midfielder, who made one appearance for Premier League side City, has been on trial at Boundary Park in recent weeks, having left Toronto in October.

Ranger arrested again

Former Premier League footballer Nile Ranger has been arrested on suspicion of breaching his bail conditions in relation to an upcoming rape trial.

Ex-Newcastle striker Ranger, 22, was arrested in the early hours of this morning.

He was reportedly held outside Newcastle's Tup Tup Palace Nightclub at 2.30am.
