Adam Virgo and Bradley Johnson will miss Brighton's Carling Cup third-round clash with Derby.
Virgo took a whack around the eye during the first half of Saturday's 4-1 win over Millwall and needs a CAT scan.
On-loan Leeds midfielder Johnson, who has scored three goals in his first two appearances for the Seagulls, is cup-tied.
Glenn Murray, who replaced makeshift striker Virgo against Millwall and proved he is over his thigh injury by scoring twice, will start while Stuart Fleetwood, the recent loan signing from Charlton, could make his full debut in Johnson's place.
Goalkeeper Michel Kuipers (thigh) is fit again but understudy John Sullivan has impressed during the last two games to give boss Micky Adams a selection dilemma.
Defenders Colin Hawkins (groin) and Matt Richards (ankle) will be available despite picking up knocks on Saturday but Nicky Forster, Gary Hart and Kerry Mayo (all knee) are still out.
Top scorer Rob Hulse and key defender Martin Albrechtsen look set to miss the game.
Five-goal striker Hulse is struggling with sore ribs and Albrechtsen has a hamstring problem ahead of the tie at the Withdean Stadium.
Hulse was substituted after just half-an-hour of Sunday's 1-1 draw against east midlands rivals Nottingham Forest while Albrechtsen, who has only recently returned after a hernia operation, missed the game after pulling up in training on Saturday.
Asked if either player would be fit, Rams manager Paul Jewell said: "I would not have thought so."
Derby will host Leeds in Round Four next week should they emerge from the south coast victorious.
