Derby v Leeds

Published: Monday, 10 November 2008, 6:21PM

Derby boss Paul Jewell will be without centre-back pairing Martin Albrechtsen and Dean Leacock when they host Leeds in the Carling Cup fourth round.

Albrechtsen (calf) limped off in the second half of Saturday`s 3-0 defeat at Reading while Leacock suffered the same injury in the 4-1 win at Brighton in the third round, forcing him to miss out at the Madejski Stadium.

Jewell has already admitted he may enter the loan market in an attempt to bolster his defence but has an otherwise fully-fit squad at his disposal.

Nathan Ellington and Emanuel Villa have already netted hat-tricks in the competition in rounds one and three respectively as Derby knocked out Lincoln, Preston and Brighton en route to the fourth round.

Jermaine Beckford is expected to return to the Leeds starting line-up.

The Whites' leading goalscorer missed Friday's FA Cup draw with Northampton, but should shake off a hip injury in time for the clash at Pride Park.

Rob Snodgrass returned to the side against Northampton, playing in a front three alongside Luciano Becchio and Andy Robinson, so manager Gary McAllister must decide who will make way for 13-goal Beckford.

Irish defender Alan Sheehan is still in rehabilitation after tearing a hamstring during last month's Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Rotherham.

Ben Parker and teenager Aidan White continue to vie for the left-back spot in Sheehan's absence.

Teenager Jonathan Webb will be hoping to retain his place after being called into the first-team squad for the first time against Northampton.

With United sitting pretty in second place in their division, midfielder Jonathan Douglas is confident of claiming a berth in the last eight.

"It's going to be a difficult game," he said. "They're a division higher, but we'll play our game and we're capable of getting a result.

"We'll go there confident and we're looking forward to it. They have a lot of Premiership players, but we have no fear.

"We'll go there and give it our best."
