Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell was satisfied with a "professional job" from his side in the 1-1 draw at QPR.
Blackwell admitted he feared the worst after hearing a new manager, Paul Hart, was at the helm at Rangers.
Those fears were realised when ex-Blade Mikele Leigertwood blasted the hosts ahead after 90 seconds, but United battled back for a point courtesy of Richard Cresswell's close-range strike.
"We talked about it in the week, it's not the time to be playing a team when a new manager walks through the door because the players have got to show them what we are about," said Blackwell.
"All the talk was about QPR but my players were very resilient and did a professional job."
