Moses can hit the top - Warnock

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock saw Victor Moses rescue a point for his team in the 1-1 draw with Barnsley - and then backed him to play for one of the top four sides in the Premier League.

The 19-year-old scored with a spectacular second-half overhead kick to cancel out Daniel Bogdanovic's opener after Darren Ambrose had missed an earlier penalty for the hosts.

Warnock said: "What can you say that I've not said before? I look at the top of the Premiership and think there must be something wrong if they do not come down."

He added: "I think the others have missed out. He's finally clicked because he is doing the mucky bits of football now. He's doing the hard graft and you cannot get anywhere without doing that. I used to watch Ian Rush working his socks off.

"It doesn't matter who you are, you have to work hard and then your ability will come through. He's been playing well for months. He scored two goals at Reading two weeks ago that were not dissimilar.

"He is now tackling back - he will remember me in years to come when I am asking him for tickets! I look at the results of the top lads in the Premiership and you cannot tell me he would not get in their sides. I would pay money to watch Victor at the moment. He's got it in his locker this lad."
