Plymouth boss Paul Mariner insists he saw plenty to build on despite the 1-0 defeat by Coventry.
Argyle are now rock-bottom of the Championship thanks to Freddy Eastwood's second-half goal.
But Mariner said: "I am very positive. The players have been fantastic.
"They are absolutely down in the dumps but there is no reason if they keep building on the performances of the second half at Preston and in this match."
